Such is their expertise, that we are capable of producing a Gansey from any recorded pattern.Looking for a Bridlington Gansey? There isn’t one; no authentic Bridlington Gansey has ever existed. Bridlington was not a fishing port until after the coming of the railways in the 1840s, by which time the patterns were well-established. Bridlington fishermen would have worn a Flamborough pattern, or perhaps even a Filey. There is one publication we are aware of which shows two children wearing Ganseys described as “Bridlington” but they are, in fact, replicas of the Flamborough Gansey their father is wearing.Please note: the patterns line below are diagrammatic representations only
