Armor Lux Breton Shirts
(round neck style):
These are genuine Breton shirts in 100% pure, soft, knitted
cotton, made by Armor Lux of France.
They are in a round neck style, and T-shirt shape.
Adult short sleeve styles are only available in
lightweight jersey cotton, while adult long sleeve
styles and children’s shirts are only
available in heavier
interlock cotton.
We measure the actual
shirts and not the chest size of our
potential customers. The sizes shown below are those in use in
France, with an approximate measurement
given in inches and centimetres for each
size. Please be aware that, in general, the
short-sleeve shirts are, size for size,
larger than the long-sleeve shirts. Please indicate the size required
(generally two inches larger than chest
measurement) and we will match it as closely
as possible. If you prefer a looser fit
please order a larger size still. Please
note also that the navy
colour used by Armor Lux is very dark.
As the range of colours changes regularly it
is impossible to list all combinations.

INFORMATION
The sizes shown in the panel opposite are
based on a measurement taken across the Breton shirt, when laid flat, at
a point just below where the sleeve joins the body, as shown above. The
measurement is taken from side to side (indicated by the arrows above)
and is then doubled to arrive at the actual size. We
measure the actual shirts and not the chest size of our potential
customers. |

Important Sizing Information
Size exchanges can be a nuisance but can, hopefully,
be avoided if you follow our sizing guidelines. If
possible, select a similar style of knitwear or
T-shirt which you currently wear and feel
comfortable in, and measure across the chest, from
underarm to underarm, as shown in the image at left.
Double this measurement to arrive at the actual
garment size. Then compare the measurement of your
garment, in inches, to the ones shown on each
product page.
Please do not confuse the measurements we show on
each page with a person’s body measurement; the
measurements listed are the actual dimensions of our
knitwear and Breton shirts.
A size 44 Guernsey sweater, for example, will
measure 44 inches all round, but this does not fit a
44 inch chest, it will be suitable for someone with
a chest measurement of 40 or 42 inches.
Please do take the time to measure your own garments
before you order, to prevent size exchanges. We keep
our costs to a minimum, to offer the best possible
price, and will have to pass on the cost of return
postage for exchanged items.
